how was that section if the OAT? I think we are headed that way the first week of May. Hoping to start at Davis, ok and meander along it as far as we can seeing what we can find as we go

Wow! There are some cool looking bridges out there. Wish they were all labeled for location.
Last week, I had to get out in the sunshine and fresh air, so we took a little hike around the Foresthill Bridge just outside of Auburn. If you've made your way up Interstate 80 to Lake Tahoe through Auburn, it's likely you've missed this really cool spot. Just off the freeway is California's highest bridge.

Bridge to nowhere... There is no road into or away from this bridge... Not even a 4x4 can get to it.... If you look at the other side of the bridge it is just a narrow hiking trail that gives way to nothing...
