how was that section if the OAT? I think we are headed that way the first week of May. Hoping to start at Davis, ok and meander along it as far as we can seeing what we can find as we go

I decided to get some real "social distancing" today by doing a day trip on the OAT. Started in Colbert and ended in Hugo. Came across this cool bridge that said it was made in 1905 All the roads were passable but since it had been raining for the last week, there were a few places where it...
Wow! There are some cool looking bridges out there. Wish they were all labeled for location.
Last week, I had to get out in the sunshine and fresh air, so we took a little hike around the Foresthill Bridge just outside of Auburn. If you've made your way up Interstate 80 to Lake Tahoe through Auburn, it's likely you've missed this really cool spot. Just off the freeway is California's highest bridge.

Bridge to nowhere... There is no road into or away from this bridge... Not even a 4x4 can get to it.... If you look at the other side of the bridge it is just a narrow hiking trail that gives way to nothing...
So, what do you do with a bridge like this... Bungee baby....

Came across this rickety bridge in the Ouachita mountans. Sign said 3ton max but that may be stretching it a bit. The bridge was swaying and popping with my 2ton 4runner

This was in the 3 Rivers wildlife management area. 1st pick was on my way through and 2nd was my way back out couple days later.
