I am new to this and have not done any long term, off grid, expeditions yet. However, I have been taking a lot of short camping trips.

I just got back from a 10 day road trip that froze us out of the tents and didn't go as planned. Each trip, even this one, I find it harder and more difficult to come home. I enjoy the process of finding solutions to problems and learning to live outside of a soft comfort zone. Each trip is easier than the last one but still presents new challenges.

We still have a lot more to learn and a lot more trips to take. Looking forward to meeting you guys on the trails. Keep it safe out there.

That is 100% true and it doesn't get any easier with time or experience to end a good/bad trip and come home to normalcy.

I move much faster when I'm loading up the car than when I'm unpacking and putting things away.

x2 on VCeX's comment on moving slower on the backside. It seems like in the summer months I never really truly unpack, until one day the OCD hits me and the whole mess ends up in the yard.

Organization is key. Also layers. Lots of layers. Safe travels!
