We have traveled from the east coast to the west for the past couple years using our Shiftpod 2 tent for a family of 4. I wanted to share our experience to help anyone who might be thinking of getting one.

I’ve owned one since they came out and while I really like it, there are some cons.

it’s almost 6.5’ packed up and 60lbs so you need a lot of space to store it.
limited ventilation so it can get muggy in the humid summer.

Gazelle's been great for us two adults and a dog. Whatever the Shiftpod does better, I have a hunch its not much, but for a ton more $. And packing space, weight.

Maybe it does better in the cold.. if you're operating a heating system, otherwise not. Very much doubt it does better in the heat/sun. Shade and ventilation cools in the hot sun.
