Hi all Overlanders

I'm in the process of swapping my rig and want to bring with me the emblem.

1: How do I get it of without making dents in the paint?
I read somewhere that using a fikshingline would do it.. has anyone tried that on this specific emblem? The glue-patch looks quite robust.

2: What type of tape/glue should I use to get it back on?
I don't want to loos this, so I need to get it back on and have it stay there... any suggestion on this?

Heat is the key here! Just be careful if you use a heat gun... you don’t want to over-heat the paint!

Heat and fishing line or dental floss. As far as sticky stuff to stick it back on. My best recommendation would be this 3m double side sticky stuff I use for everytime I need something to stick to something else. I have no idea what it’s called but it’s black double sided tape with red cover things It comes in different widths and it has held almost too well inside the jeep on the dash. It took me a couple days to get it off without destroying the dash.
I think this is it

Edit: I tried to post a link and a picture. But it isn’t working for some reason. Search 3m exterior attachment tape on amazon or something.

Now these needs some care as well, the salty roads in Norway is tearing everything down...

If I paint these, will the number still be visible?
