I have a Gobi Stealth no rise option rack on my 4runner 5th gen. Looking to purchase a Bush Company Alph hardshell tent (Basically an Alu-cab Expedition 3). I know space is tight to secure the mounts to the crossbars. I would like to secure the tent straight to the Gobi bars. But I am aware you can add Yakima bars or other brand bars to raise it.
Is it too much of a pain to mount on the Gobi bars?
I can remove the sunroof part to secure the front its the rear I am worried about.
If you used additional crossbars, which ones did you use?
The tent will be staying on the roof so no need to remove quicvkly.
