This is a very interesting site we visited back in Late August of 2013. Absolute silence, and the stars.... We lay awake in our tent, ( fly off ) till one or two in the morning, star gazing.. Unfortunatly we only spent one night here, (daytime temps were toying with 110f) . The next morning we headed south through Beef Basin and up into the La Sal mountains for a couple of days in much cooler temps.. Note:: This was the last cross country tour for our beloved Rubicon, simply put, a jeep wrangler is a great vehicle IF you only ever plan on traveling short distances. As soon as we got home I started shopping for an 80 and found one late November. Sold the jeep in January for a very handsome price.... No Regrets DSC01007.jpg DSC00985.jpg

Mine is home Frankensteined, el cheapo 1200 lb wire deck trailer has a ton of modifications including most importantly a 3500 lb ez-lube axle. All told, when empty it weighs less than 500 lbs.. Full of gear, gas, H2O and food it weighs right around 800 lbs.. The bought units are really nice, but really expensive and really heavy..
