Well got my new Ostrich Wing Awning today and installed it. Very impressed with the design and ease of use with this awning and seems extremely sturdy. Only thing I need to change are the mounting brackets to get the awning up a bit higher.

Installed the sleekster slider from Randy Ellis Design. Install was rather complicated but they seem sturdy and look like they’ll handle what they’re designed for.

Found out after a trip to the snow today that I needed to do a little trimming on the factory fenders.

Well after a bit of a headache with a promo code I finally placed the order for a KC roof rack for the truck. Looking forward to getting that installed.

Finished up installing a few new additions and re-organizing the stuff on my rack. Think the truck is finished for the year on getting it organized. Hopefully will have plenty of time this summer to use her.

Decided to upgrade the brakes on the big girl since I’m starting to really feel the nearly 10k weight. Went with some SSBC Barbarian8 calipers and slotted rotors. Already feels night and day different.

My wife and I added a 2019 Jeep Rubicon to the stable. The plan for it will be minimal modifications as the Ford will be our main base camp while we tow the Jeep for exploring and also it’ll be the wife’s daily so can’t go too crazy on it.

Did a couple things to both vehicles over the week.

Got some rotopax mounted up to the Jeep

And wired up my solar setup in the Leitner Box with plugs on the outside for easy hookup.

Got the new RTT mounted up on the truck. Decided with the ikamper skycamp. So far I really like this product and can’t wait for a chance to take it out and use it. And side note I realize it’s on “backwards” but it works for me this way.

So I’ve changed out a decent amount of stuff since my last update. Overall the truck seems way way more capable and even more enjoyable to drive.

First thing was the addition of a Carli 2.5 pintop kit with the HD Deaver springs. I’ll probably never not have a truck without Carli suspension on it again after feeling how nice it is.

Also put together some armor for my shocks and built some quick disconnect pins for my front sway bar.

Swapped out my Decked drawers for a TruckVault set up with a CargoGlide. And 10/10 would recommend TruckVault of decked if you have the funds.

Had to replace my secondary radiator since like an idiot I didn’t pay attention to my winch wiring and the fact that it was rubbing a nice hole into it. So went with a Mishimoto secondary and primary radiator since it was all torn apart already and did my water pump, idler pulleys and belt tensioner with a new belt while everything was accessible. Also tossed on a Mishimoto catch can to keep all that crude from recirculating into my intake.

And lastly purchased a set of Method 701 wheels to get rid of the rubbing on the radius arms and to get a “light” version of a beadlock.

Spent a few days building mounts for some King hydro bump stops. Turned out reasonably well but wish I had access to and the knowledge on how to use lathes and mills to make it look cleaner.

Drilled out the bottom coil bucket rivets to mount the front brackets.
