Heading to Baja for 2 months. Any tips from those that have been?

We're heading to Baja in just a few days. We have a very loose, read: no real itinerary. Last year we did 3 months in the interior of Mexico, but this is our first foray into Baja.

We have done some preps for the trip which my wife wrote about in this article: "We're leaving for a two-month overlanding trip down the length of the Baja peninsula."

For those that have been, do you have any tips, suggestions, or advice for Baja?

Try to stay a few days in one location from time to time.
