Hatchet or machete?

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I have one myself. It‘s great for many chores under the sun: weeding, rooting, chopping, slaughtering, hammering, etc. Also, being history buff, I was intrigued by the fact it is an iconic American invention and mass produced for, and issued to the American Pacific forces, for use in the Jungles as a tool AND a weapon. The company has an exemplary level of customer service and will also engrave it for you, to make it less tempting for someone to walk off with this prized possession. It comes extremely sharp from the factory, as my finger will attest and easily re-sharpened. Made in USA!
