Not long ago I would not step foot in a Harbor Frieght. A few of my on and off line friends told me to not be a snob about HF and give em another go as they have stepped up their game in the past few years. I may be an old dog but OK, I’ll givem a try. So here I am with the Predator 100 watt solar panel. It folds up and thanks to the magnetic handles, stays folded up. It is lightweight, 10lbs, and is easy to store. It works. I have 250 watts up on the roof and the HF on the ground. Today when the sun was full it was kicking in an additional 4-5 amps. I’m impressed and for 130 bucks it’s a bargain that works. Over the last 5+ years they’ve definitely increased quality in some areas. It’s a bit silly, but I always bring cotton canvas tarps with me, and they have the best for the price. They’ve also got the badlands winch there which I’ve heard good things about from my network.

I’m still not sold on their heavy duty extraction equipment. I’ve always had Superwinches and now a Warn. I would have stayed with SW but only a Warn will fit behind my stock bumper.

Yep, no question they are the top an wouldn’t go away from them, just saying that it is a feasible solution and I’ve not heard anything bad about them.

What do you use the cotton canvas tarps for? Is there something we're missing in our pack out? :)

I've watched a jk winch out a 1 ton Ford superduty long bed, with a bed mounted fuel tank full of used fry oil with a badlands 12k winch.....

Do with that information what you will.

Almost all the tools in my rig came from Harbor freight. It's hard to beat a lifetime warranty with all the hand tools. And my Bauer tools have been flawless, including the 20v stuff.

I'm not saying they don't have things to avoid (I'm sure they do), but these days, there's not really a reason to avoid HF.

That moving blanket idea is good I will have to try that out. We bought a bunch and have it just sitting in the garage now. I used to be a snob about their tools but then they started with the lifetime warranty and craftsman got rid of theirs... So for home I have a bunch since if I break one it's a 5 minute trip out of my way to replace it. I still haven't broken one, though I've cracked a few husky sockets.
