In January of this year I traded in my 2013 Taco on a 2019 GX460. I absolutely love it. I’ve recently started the build and here’s where I am so far. 87EAA1BA-BE21-48F3-89C8-C12E1BF5563D.jpegThis is what I came from.1C9F6C09-7A58-4C15-A012-14402CDE9676.jpegI promised my wife I’d finish my ‘71 Triumph Trident project before I go to crazy with the GX. So far I’ve added 285’s, roof rack, small Bilstein lift, custom built pet barrier and I’m currently building sliders.7784B432-FFC7-447D-A78E-5A9F0B2A1AD2.jpeg3174064A-E5C6-4B43-BE55-7FE009059594.jpeg 5100’s front at 1.75 and rear Bilstein 1” lift spring. I plan on replacing these in the near future after I’ve pretty much got it where I won’t it I’ll run it over the weigh scale again. loaded Vs unloaded is such a compromise in ride quality I will probably look for something that is easily adjustable. I had BP-51’s on my Tacoma for several years and when they were working the ride was fantastic. They weren’t the easiest to adjust whoever.

524DF701-3CE8-48A0-8058-43F030A045BB.jpegThe sliders will be bolt on this time as the GX frame has a million threaded inserts from the factory. I’m going to add rock lights to underside they will still come on with door but I’m also going to add a switch for on demand. 8767AE42-0359-4CF4-A648-4416D5376606.jpegMy tent fits perfectly in Ironman roof rack. Winning!!!!!!

I recently bought a 2013 GX460 with the dream of building an overland vehicle one day. I also recently found OB1 when I was research Gazelle tents and loved the app and community. All that to say, that’s how I came upon your post.

Love want you’ve done so far and am interested in where you take the build. I’m curious if you are planning to remove the third row seats and build a drawer system? I’m not very mechanically handy but can follow instructions really well. It’s obvious, by want you’ve done, that you have a strong mechanical skill set. Good luck with the rest of your build, I’ll be following.

I don’t plan on any drawers. Was still thinking about deleting those seats in favor of a shallow trunk. Nothing taller than the height the seats are at folded. There is a small dead space with the seats folded down that I currently use for straps and random stuff. My three big dogs use all the space there is back there.
The Gazelle tent is totally worth the money. Best ground tent I’ve ever had.
