GU UTE BUILD AND SOME ODD PICS OF A DMAX

G'day guys just realised I hadn't uploaded a build thread of my gu sowhile I have an hr to kill here it is, as I bought it, 2001 GU patrol factory td42T leaf rear as you can see it needed a bit of work but overall a good platform

So drove it around and enjoyed it but next up was a few servicing issues as well as 35x12.5.15, runva wnch and some led bars with lightforce spotlightsy

Up next and probably the biggest decision I made was to go with 4.6 diff centres, leaf to coil rear suspension swap with a 4 link setup, 4" lift new tray, window tint and grunt flares

Then the unthinkable happen and engine went knock knock , so the engine just got rebuilt including injectors (12mm pump still to come) with redarc boost/egt/temp gauge watching it so hopefully it wont happen again, thats all for now cheers

Man your ute looks like an amazing blank canvas. Altho I love my truck, have always been jealous the utes and trays you guys have available to you.

How have your temps been with those spots. I have heard a few guys say they had to upgrade their cooling from the lower airflow

Hasn't been too much of an issue however I have upgraded bassically everything in the cooling department just in case

Bit of a delayed Update as tbh I forgot about this thread, long story short rust got the better of the old chassis and cab so new cab, new chassis, Fox remote res shocks, new body mounts, superior Hyperflex Arms, Superflex swaybar etc etc and its almost ready for engineering and hopefully get new pics asap, immediate plans are get some new window tint back on ASAP, add some audio/GPS/ rear camera/dash cam etc with some dynamat and it should sound and look like a all new ute
