What was your greatest moment while Overlanding? What was that one second that really defined Overlanding for you or that confirmed this is what you really want to do?

For the two of us it was at the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. After going through the historical village behind the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, we walked the trail along the river and came across three elk.

I haven't had a real defining moment. I just know getting out of town and getting to the woods/desert/ocean .

If I had to pick a moment so far it was the rally and maybe the expo in a close 2nd. I exposed some friends to this and they dug it. And my wife has really dove in after attending both events. And has us looking forward to our next trip

The end of this trip was pretty satisfying. The truck and my chainsaw recut an old logging road to make it to the top. It took 13 hours to make it about 13 miles in the UP of Michigan.
