Grand Cache Sept 2017

I have to say, this was probably the best trail I've run in Alberta. It's exactly what I built my truck for. Water, hills, creeks, mud, no muskeg, but plenty of challenges. I'm definitely going back. Reminds me a lot of Whipsaw... Only longer & closer to home.

Basically straight west of Grande Cache. Almost to the BC border. Lots of gorgeous country out there.

So that is the kaka falls area. I am in GP and have been meaning to get out that way. When does the trail clear of snow enough to make this possible?

I’ve never been up that way but I’m thinking I may do a probing trip up that ways near the end of March. I’ll report back if there’s snow.

a few of us are planning this run from edmonton mid to late summer, should be 3 or 4 of us with trailers
