Hello,

I’m thinking about purchasing a Gazelle T4 tent and was wondering if anyone had any experience with using cots in one. Would like to have 2 cots and enough room for the dog. Which cots are you using?

Thanks for the help

I put a queen size Costco air mattress in my T4 and still had enough space for a 2' x 4' table and some duffel bags at the foot. Can't imagine you'll have issues with any cot fitting.

The only thing you should know is that the T4 bag is like 6 feet long.

I run a queen size mattress, 12”x24” table and room enough for two camp chairs when it’s raining. Should have plenty of room. Great all around tent. lol is right, 6’ long. Has a great bag thought, built over sized and with good material. I pack mine on my roof rack, zipper facing down and have not had any issue with rain during traveling.

We have been using a T4 with a couple of Roll-a-cots for a few years before mostly switching over to a roof top tent.

They fit ok within the tent and with the raised cots other things like clothes bags, etc tuck away under the cot and are out of the way so overall it’s a good setup for two people. A third cot would not fit but it is possible to have a third person sleep on an air mattress between the cots but it is a bit tight.

I do not use it with cots, but can tell you the floor is pretty solid so should hold up well to any feet from the cots.
We use it with a full sized inflatable mattress when Hubby is camping, and plenty of room as others have mentioned for chairs, small table and all your gear!
Easy to repair too if you get any small holes. I Love it! Easy to set up, and yes it is long! ( fits in the back of the 4Runner ok)
Have the smaller T3 when it is just me and that is about a foot smaller in length (58 inches)

The Gazelle T4 tent has plenty of room, so fitting two cots and a dog should be manageable. For cots, I’d recommend Coleman ComfortSmart or KingCamp Extra Wide for comfort and stability. Both are low-profile and provide a good mix of support without taking up too much space. The T4's height should accommodate them easily, but make sure to leave some space for your dog to move around. If you have a larger dog, consider a medium-size cot for them as well!

We fit a queen sized deep mattress inflatable in ours with plenty of extra room. 2 cots will work great for sure!

What brand air mattresses do you like for the T4? I certainly don’t need the Exped Megamat Duo 10. Figured I’d be fine with something from Walmart.

I use cots in my T4 and the Exped in my rooftop tent. That said I just got back from an overseas trip where I slept in a T4 for many nights using this:

Sleeping Pad

It was of good quality and surprisingly very comfortable given then cost just also get one of those USB powered inflators as the manual pump built in the pad is a chore to use.

I have 2 Byer EasyCots and love them! At 6'4" (76") tall the 78" length of the Byer EasyCot is perfect! Yes, I have a T4 and they fit perfectly in it!
