IMHO dedicated GPS hardware devices are a dying breed. You have a setup that is flexible, adaptable, and more affordable than said future paper weight. If you want more horsepower in the mapping department go with Gaia GPS.

Garmin just released this new graded GPS. Looks like it does marine, Trails and road navigation.

Right now I'm running a Nuivi and iPad mini app "all trails". I'm looking for one unit for both street navigation and where I can upload GPX files for trails that I want to run. Opinions?
It would be perfect if they added some of the communication capabilities of the Delorme Inreach. The live tracking won't work without cell reception from a paired phone. I'm not sold on it.
 
I saw the device at Overland Expo....it's nice cause it's got road navigating and terrain all in one. But it's EXPENSIVE
 
I have one of these, like the size, prefer buttons to touch screen. I also run an iPad with Hema Explorer at the same time as nothing has all the information.
