The Titan as far as I can tell does not have a CVT. Ive only seen these on smaller vehicles like sedans, wagons and midsized SUVs. But yes CVT sucks for anything off the pavement is what Ive read. I did consider a subaru at one point and came to the understanding that only get a subaru with manual transmission or an older automatic that isn't a CVT.
I know that. One of the few Nissan's to not have one. The frontier, Z and godzilla are the others. Everything else in the lineup has one now. I owned the last nissan car to NOT have a CVT and that was a little ecnobox gem. The micra. CVT sucks for ANYTHING. Not just off road. Like I said, I have an audi A4 cabrio with the 3.2 V6. beautiful driving car, great motor, all for nothing with the POS CVT in it. I am going to rebuild it, and hopfully it will last another 70k. I have my doubts though.
