Found this out in the middle of nowhere

A couple weeks ago we went out scouting some trails and came across something on the odd spectrum
As you can see, this is just out in the middle of the desert. No idea why other than someone had a bit to much free time on their hands.

You mean there's a reason to stack rocks other than when you're stuck? Haha!

I see similar things like that out in the desert. People love stacking rocks. It's amazing how well they can balance so many different sized rocks on top of each other.

Some trails have rock cairns stacked in places to find your way. In the case of the Mojave Road, if you are traveling East to West, they are always found on the right side of the trail.

I've been to Cottonwood in the 70's but don't remember doing that.....

I usually hung out around Apache Jct.
