Awesome. There is a trip to bend / Alvarod in September. In Oct we’ll have the Mojave trail guardian and potentially a trip to Moab.

Good news DeathValley is coming back to life - Death Valley National Park and CA-190 may start to reopen October 15 - Death Valley National Park (U.S. National Park Service) - hope we can organize a fall trip

Looks like October 27-29 will be the date for the fall Mojave National Preserve Trail Guardian. This time we have some very diverse projects, one of which is to help identify and catalog the hundreds of dispersed campsites they have identified. This has project has been hanging for some time...

Hi Fellow Travelers - I took a quick run up to Leavitt Lake last Tuesday. The road is moderately challenging, on par with our trip there in 2022. Trying to gauge interest in grouping up the weekend of 20-22 October. Something like Leavitt Lake on Friday, optional backroads run to Bodie/Aurora/The Elbow on Saturday, possible potluck on Saturday night, possible 2nd Amendment exercise on Sunday. Fires permitted (weather will be cool, possibly cold). Bridgeport Ranger says they plan to leave the gate open until CalTrans closes Sonora Pass. The Aspen have just started to turn - may be some color left in three weeks.
