US West Death Valley - Western Region Tour

1 week and we head out, gonna be fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone

Wish I could make this trip. Got my GMRS license but need to work on my Ham license.
I have 2006 Tacoma Sport 4x4 with Icon Stage4 3” lift on 255/75/17(32”) AT; rock sliders; fuel tank skid plate. Would my rig make it through this route?

Oh yes more than enough, you’ve got a great set up! Nice rig

I'm so damn jealous...

If anyone is in a pinch and looking for amber lights, I have a rear chase bar made by KC, never installed for $380, no installation brackets. I also have a couple of new amber cyclones for $30 each. I can order up replacements later.

I'm in Stockton, but if you need it shipped I can do that too.

I reserved then backed out lol -looks like I will need a few things before I go on these trips with a crew.

Have fun everyone

I was wondering if there was any room for another rig? also I was wondering why the amber light in rear????? I have a CB and not a ham or GRMS do I get disqualified for that??? I have extensive wheeling and overlanding experience as well as wheeled in Death Valley. My rig is expedition ready.

will this be a overnighter??

Thank You!!

Cheers!!

We are requiring Amber lights due to low visibility on days 2 and 3. It allows for the group to travel safer and faster. In regards to HAM radio it is the required communication in this group.

If you don’t have a HAM grab a cheap Baofeng portable radio for $35 and a 15” or so antenna off amazon and you can listen in, just can’t broadcast. No doubt you know what you are doing but that way we can all communicate and yes the amber light is critical. Last year I had a white 4Runner in front of me and I couldn’t see him even with his lights on, but I could see the guy in front of him, just his one amber light though. KC Hilites sells little amber pucks that can be mounted up almost anywhere pretty quickly. We have about 15 rigs or so and we will kick up a lot of dust

I think you bowed out like 6 times!
One more bow but this one is of greetings and Godspeed from across the Atlantic pond.

This won’t be it but hopefully someday this map shall be used!
Happy Death Valley’ing Y’all!! :smilingimp:

Haha that made me laugh! Someday! It has its own unique beauty and a bit of fun with the jets zooming overhead breaking the sound barrier
