This is the intersection where we will ultimately leave the main road for Cloverdale Mine Trail:

It is immediately south of Hillside, CO.

I know many of you are better suited to base camping so I've decided to try to find a campsite along this CR 198 so that might work better. We're also more likely to have shade there.

Keep a watch here for where we ultimately end up, but I wanted you to have these coordinates if you don't already in case we reference them later from a point of minimal cell service.

Where exactly are we meeting up today. Almost packed up and should be there around 4:00
Apologies on the last minute info.

We've opted for a higher elevation campsite that's cooler and along our path for tomorrow. I'm guessing it will add an hour to your drive time, but it's less for tomorrow.

Balman Reservoir.

Air down, etc when you reach CR198. The uphill climb becomes rocky...not difficult, just bumpy.

I have decent cell service with Verizon. Sprint T-mobile is iffy.

I apologise for the change, but this should be more enjoyable. It was freaking hot at TX Creek.
