It's a hell of a lot closer than I drove last weekend. I went to Alabama/Tennessee to meet some guys on a trail called the iron gap.

I am a first time off roader so

I'm pretty experienced at off roading, and last weekend was way more than I would have driven my truck 10 hours to and expected to drive it back home. It did make it without breaking anything and made the drive home but I think I was kinda lucky. I need to get on some tamer stuff with my family to get them broke in and see if we all like it.
