Charging/power setups for tablets?

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I've got a hard mounted USB port in my passenger side cubby and just route a cable about 10 inches that way to the port. Keeps it out of my way and clean.

I know there are other cheaper 5amp chargers but some of them are 2.5 amp per side. The biggest issue with running a tablet as a nav system is the screen is normally on high and a ton of stuff in the background. When these came out, they were the only ones that would not only keep up with my power draw but top off the charge. I struggled with my tablets going dead in 4-5 hours. These came out and I never looked back.
