US West Central California Monthly Meet Up

Love that people are talking about meeting down in the Central Coast, 805 area. I lived in Santa Barbara for 18 years. However, this is not the thread for that. This Central California group is only for people within a 50-60 mile radius around Manteca/Modesto/Stockton. You all are welcome to come to one of our meet-ups though but you'd have to come up to Ripon and it's not near as nice as the coast!

The best thing to do would be for one of you to set up a rally point for a meet-up of your own. You don't even have to have a location. Just start the conversation and I'm sure you can get something going.

Just joined up, I’m from Turlock, but living in Sacramento for work. Definitely Would like to attend those upcoming trips
I’ll plan on attending the meeting on June 21st

There were 6 of us at the meetup this weekend. So far the trip to Coyote Flat has been cancelled. As of now the rest of the trips are still on the books and we are looking for Trip Captains to step up.

OB Central Valley: Corral Hollow / Deer Valley Trip - Overland Bound

This will be an exciting weekend trip up in the Sierra Mountains. This trip will get technical and is NOT trailer friendly. 4×4 with AT tires are a must. Being capable of airing down is highly recommended (bring an air compressor). High vehicle clearance is a plus. Extra fuel is recommended.

Are you good at it yet, Jason? And shouldn’t it be spatial distancing? Because it’s not about how friendly or emotive we are, social, but distance and our space. So I say we do spatial distancing as opposed to practice social distancing. :D

Hope you all are staying safe and healthy. I will not be able to attend the meetup this weekend. I'll be out of town. Jason will be there though. Bring your masks and your shade as it'll have to be outside again. Be safe everyone.
 
Hey everyone, just a heads up. I am planning on to attending the meeting, but I will be coming back from Big Sur. The plan is to make the meeting, but it will be time permitting.
 
Bummed I missed on Sunday. My wife and I went kayaking on the Stan and it took WAY longer than anticipated. Funny thing is, I invited a friend and he was able to make it! Well make every effort to go next time.
 
How did the meeting go? Unfortunately we got caught behind some college kids that got stuck and blocked the trail at Prewitte Ridge. A total of 5 pavement princess rigs delayed the entire campground for about 3 hours.... ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️
