We are going to meet up. We won't be able to go into the restaurant for our normal meeting but we can gather and chat outside. Wear a mask if you've got them to be safe. Looking forward to seeing you all again!

Current Needs:

  • If you happen to be familiar with the trails for these trips and you do not want to lead the trip, please help us out with any trail info you may have (GPX files, campsite coordinates, sites to see, etc.). It would be very much appreciated.

Next meeting will be June 21st @ 1300hrs (1:00pm)

  • Location (tentative): Mountain Mikes in Ripon, CA
  • Time: 1300hrs (1:00pm)
  • Agenda for the meeting:
  • Last minute details for the scheduled trip in June (Coyote Flat)
  • Start getting ideas for future trips
  • Talk about gear and current setups

At this point in time, we are not allowed in Mountain Mikes due to the current guidelines set by the state. They are still doing To-Go orders.

Today we just kept it outside without getting in each other’s faces LOL. For our next meeting we will most likely be doing the same.

Stay safe and let’s get back to the dirt trails and campfires!

I didn't know we were meeting. I guess I need to check my notifications, usually I get an email with posts on this thread.

But I have a quick question.....Does anyone know of any quick camping off of 40, maybe near Mojave National Preserve? Just for a night after a day of driving.

I think something may be going haywire with the notifications. I haven't been getting them either.

Late to the party but nice to meet you all. (And yes I have forgotten all names ... except Rob!). I’m definitely interested in Usal. See you soon!

Anyone in the lower 805 want to get together for a meet? Around Conejo Valley, maybe Thousand Oaks?

I think that is a great idea, I've not seen a meet-up for that region, I don't think. The best way is to the check the Rally Points and see if there are any. If not, you should start one! Email Kent Reynolds and he can get you started. Our Meet-up happened because one person took charge and made it happen.

This thread only goes to the people in the Central Valley though, so it won't be reaching anyone in the 805.

i'm brand new to all of this and live in the Agoura area - love to attend a meetup sometime

Howdy!...Am Sean, and I am currently living in Simi, would love to meet up sometime and talk shop. Am still learning, myself. Got me a mean Subaru mall crawler, but she's tough. Working on solar and 12 volt electrics.. lots to learn.
Welcome to OverlandBound Crew!

That's 3! Another 3 ppl and we figure a place to meet? I was thinking the Red Robin at the Oaks, in Thousand Oaks?
