Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Definitely interested in this, as my truck is wireless for AA, and I dont usually have my phone near me when driving, so using the app enroute doesnt really work for me. Would MUCH rather have it on my screen in front of me, than on my phone!

This is still near term, but we are focused on app hardening and the 3D Release currently. CarPlay and AA will be a bit.

Any updates on this? I consider CarPlay to be a bare-minimum feature for any kind of navigation app. It also needs to have most if not all of the mapping and navigation related configuration (changing layers, selecting waypoints and routes, saving a waypoint) accessible from the CarPlay interface. Gaia and OnX screw this up terribly. Don't follow in their footsteps!

Thanks, somehow I missed the link to the roadmap. I had this thread bookmarked already from a while back so I just came back to it. Hopefully it'll move from "Soon" to "In Progress" soon. Since it is the second most upvoted feature on there I'd hope it isn't too far off!

considering that the last app update was 10 months ago... I have a feel that's not happening anytime soon.
I wonder the the app has been abandoned entirely at this point. They used to release a new version every two weeks.

At this point I think we should just accept that CarPlay isn’t happening any time in the foreseeable future. We’ve had one update in 13 months. it’s a shame really, as with the massive issues Gaia has they really could have stolen a ton of users. I’m pretty sure everyone has moved on to OnX at this point.

It takes money my friend! We built a great app which continues to grow slowly, good rating, and we keep it updated, but we don’t have the budget to invest further than occasional updates. We are looking to change that because our goals are to support this community and have the best app out there. No one agrees with you more than me!
