California Fires and Ash

I took these right outside of my house in Long Beach. It's been overcast here for days due to the smoke. I've never seen it this bad in all of the years that I've been living near the coast.

Hooray! The evacuation warning for my neighborhood has been lifted. Soon all the roads will be open and clogged with lookieloo's.

Man, you guys (and gals) in California sure have a lot to deal with.

It's always something, power outages, heat waves, fires, riots, Earthquakes, caravans, high taxes, closed beaches and on and on.

We had a 2 fires turn into a big fire on Tuesday. Approx 30 miles away. In the photo I was really trying to get the orange red hue to show thru the camera. I took this photo at 5 ish. Should have had plenty of sunshine. And just 3 hours earlier we had blue skys. I hope your local fire fighter's and first responders can get the fires in your area under control soon. Its truly sad to see how destructive these fires have been.
