I'm debating putting a CB antenna on my brush bar does anyone else do this set up if so what mount do you use/recommend and do you have any pictures so I can reference.

This is a awsome idea I may try this thank youIt looks good there old mate. I just read the thread today but I was going to suggest a bonnet mount. I know that GME Australia make them and you can get the universal model that will fit most rigs.

Thank you for the advice I will surely do thatYou'll want to add a 1/2" braided copper strap from each mount of the bar to the frame or body with the paint removed under each end to electrically "tie" that brush guard to the body. Remember, just because you have DC continuity doesn't mean you have a good RF continuity. That will improve the performance. You also don't want something like your fog lights trying to use your coax braid as a ground instead of flowing back into the body like it should. That's bad news for your radio. That's one reason many radios have a fuse in both the + and - power leads. You can paint back over the connections once they are made to seal them and prevent rust. Also, having the upper part of the bar close to the antenna will affect SWR quite a bit and who knows what it's doing to your radiation pattern.
