I have a Mt. Shasta CVT that has developed some stains from moisture. What's the best way to clean the canvas and/or remove those stains?

Have you tried soap and water or simple green? I do a complete wipe down and rinse once a year when it's hot out with warm water and thin simple green. The stains i get are mostly from the dust. I'll be curious to find out what works. Shouldn't be any different then a tent.

I also wrote to CVT customer support and they replied with this:

- Warm water and dawn soap with a soft bristled brush.

- (1 cup of Lysol all-purpose cleaner to 1 gallon of hot water) with warm water and a soft to medium brush to clean the fabric.

-Brush the affected area with a soft bristled brush to get and loose dirt off.

-Wash the canvas using a sponge and the bristled brush with the Lysol mixture

-Rinse the tent off with a solution (1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sea salt, 1 gallon hot water).

-Once the lysol solution has been properly washed out, let the tent air dry for several hours in order to prevent future mold from forming. Please make sure it is completely dry

-Soap or wax your zippers

Nice. If one spends a bit of time on dirt roads, the zippers need to be cleaned regularly. I lube them with bar soap. With that said, i'm on my second cover. Wore the zipper out.
