A leaky rear main seal? That is how Jeep does it.

And a leaky pinion seal in the rear for a good consistent coat.

As an alternative to fluid film I would also suggest trying Corban 35, I don't use it personally but know multiple people who use it before our rough Michigan winters and it works wonders they say. Either way same kind of product, great CPC.

I have used a product called Ospho, with great results. Easy to use and works great.

While looking for a jeep, I came across one that was really clean for the new Hampshire area. The owner used fluid film twice a year. I bought the 2002 TJ and it came with a gallon. I've been using it on everything since.

I have had the Land Rover, blasted with dry ice and then added a protective layer of raptor bedliner as well as mike sanders in all the hidden caveats. So far with great results.
