bay area/NorCal fly fishing

Fishing season is Opening up soon on most CA waters so thought I'd start a thread for meet ups/tips/reports.

I usually try to get to Putah Creek whenever I can since its fairly close. Tried my luck on the swing for winter steel a few times on the trinity/russian/yuba/american. Havent tried surf on the fly yet but I've heard good things about fishing the bay.

Some trips this season would be pretty killer with other anglers

We did the same last weekend and fished the Pit river. Water was murky and fast but I got ten trout

Nice! fished a little on the stanislaus last weekend outside of yosemite. Only got a small wild one. Checked out the Merced in the park and saw some fatties in the river.
