Any suggestion for a two-three day overland trip in the Reno area end of March?

Hey everyone. I am looking for easy to moderate trail for a three day trip in the Reno area. I am from the Bay Area and plan to get away the end of March. BTW, remote BLM land would be preferred. One of our activities will be sighting in some new rifles out to a couple hundred yards. Any suggestions of some beautiful spots? My rig is a 04 Sequoia lifted so clearance is not an issue but a long wheel base.

Read a great article several months ago about Reno, Wendover and points east. Great story and some points of interest they ran. Snow became an issue at some elevations. But hell if I can find it online. Not sure if it was Overland Journal, TREAD or???
