Welded the frame up and placed it on the roof to mock up and tack the mounts

Then I cut some paper templates and transferred them to 1/8 sheet to make the side rails.

Ive got a set of 4 6" round LEDs for the front. They were an unused purchase from an xc70 build.

Used some roll on truck bed liner from rustoleum.
Anyone have any experience with it? The spray kind is not super durable, but that could be from my poor surface prep on the sliders.
Mounted, wired and tested the lights before installing back on the truck.

I prefer Monstaliner as whole, and now that they sell quarts, no reason not to do it.

loving every bit of this build. My main interest/concern is maintaining good road manners while enhancing the off road ability of the Tree. I live at least 1000 KM from any area worth exploring so have to factor in a lot of highway travel. Your mods really seem to be hitting the sweet spot.

I am in the same boat. 2hrs from any decent spot to go offroad and camp. I average 1-2hr highway before I get anywhere, so regular driveability was key for me while making it more capable/

Been running these control arms a few months now. I really hated the 2 bolt design (for so many reasons), so I modified them for a single bolt through solution. I have designed and built a fair amount of suspension in the last 15 years, but for the price I was going to be hard pressed to build them for less...Are there some compromises from a design I would have chosen...sure.
My experience so far has been good. Helped get the alignment in spec with the lift. Regular inspection, cleaning and some maintenance are necessary IMHO on parts like this.
I have extra c-clips, 1 set of uniballs, clean them when I get off the trails and use a PTFE lube to keep things quiet.
