Hello all, just another Washingtonian reporting in. New-ish to overloading, but have always loved camping off the beaten path. I'm running a bone stock 97 Suburban with just the factory "off road" equipment packages (Eaton locker and skin plates). Hoping to meet ya'll at some point, and hopefully turn it into something we (my girlfriend and family) can enjoy for years to come (still trying to convince her that camping at a place without at least an outhouse is worth the adventure, but that's another topic.).

Any way, hope to learn some, contribute some, and all around have a good time. Cheers!

Welcome! We're across the sound in Port Orchard. As a lady overlanding I'd say get the family on board first with the excitement of camping and hopefully your girlfriend will follow. Fun snacks, maybe some good wine/beer, a campfire with an excellent view go a long way towards helping her overlook the convenience of a flushing toilet or running water! Go out with other couples/families so she can see its a full fun family event, not just guys hanging in the woods driving places. Once our dash is back together we'll be back in the woods planning trips and I'll throw it up in the groups if anyone wants to tag along.

Welcome from across the water. Working on getting the wife out of the motor home and do a bit of overlanding also. So far she is excited about the trips and exploring part of Overlanding, we will see about the rest. She used to like back packing and tent camping, but after the self-contained MH she has been spoiled with full kitchen, full bath and hot showers. Good luck convincing the girl friend and family!
