Alpha 0.8.42 Build Patch Notes

Alpha 0.8.42 Build Patch has been released and is in review by Apple. You should receive an email once approved by Apple if you are in the test group.
To join this test group, fill out this form: Expedition Pioneers
Your build should now show: 0.8.42 Build 1 (at the bottom of the slide-out menu)
Android build may be downloaded here (option to install APKs must be enabled): OB1_Build_0.8.42.apk

In addition to the bugs and features below, the team is making great progress on Rally Point and the Member Map. For now, this is non-user facing.

Forum usage
Message usage
Notification linking


Bugs Fixed:
Home Screen - Group Notifications by data
App crash in some instances where posts have a non-qualified rich text link
pagination error causing app to crash when stepping forward and back.
Other bugs and performance enhancements.

New Features:
Added Latest Status Updates in Forum Feed
Added Latest Member to Join in Forum Feed
Landscape mode in photo viewer
Notifications now link to post they refer to.
Member user groups are now included in thread posts.

Known issues:
Read later does not function

I looked at a thread with 3 pages when at the last post one presses “>” ie next one gets a white screen.

When I first open the app while iPad mini is in landscape mode, it opens in landscape mode. As soon as I go to Forums, it immediately flips to portrait mode.

Pictures still not working on Android Pixel 3 XL running Android 10. Interesting note, i was looking at the "Michael and Corrie at the Adventure Expo" in Costa Mesa thread and the first post has an image on it that does show up. I'm guessing it's because it's embedded versus being linked but maybe it can help track down the image issue on the later versions of Android?

I downloaded it it. The app crashes after you first open it. It probably shouldnt be a problem

Here's a small bug I just found.

The last option that was chosen from All posts, watched or read later at the top of the forum page remains selected when we navigate off the forum page and back from another option.

Example.

From the home page, go to forum.
Choose "watched" at the top.
Go to "By Category"
Scroll down an choose OB Support. You see 0.9 alpha, it says there is 3 threads.
Select it. The watched filter is still active and you only see the threads you follow or a blank page if you follow none in that forum.
