3rd gen Tacoma suspension

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I’m looking to upgrade my suspension on my 2019 Tacoma. It’s my daily driver and weekend worrier. I’m running 265/75 ko2 so don’t need more than 2” of lift. I’m thinking fox or icon 2.5? Any suggestions?

I think this is the wrong section for advice but Bilstein and Icon are both good for daily drivers as they're digressive valved and will have tighter on-road performance. I'm personally partial to Bilstein and I think it would be a great fit for most norcal trails.

Fox and King are linear valved and while much more compliant off road, they're going to be much softer on road too with more sway and less control. If you do a lot of rough desert driving in the southwest there is nothing better but you need to be doing a lot of desert miles to really make it worth it.
