I'm just seeing this thread and I have to say this is one of the most epic 4Runners ever. Ever! I almost bought one in 2014 - same color and model. Love it! [emoji106]

Wow amazing and inspirational build and great photos too!

If you don't mind me asking what Ham antenna and mount did you use. Forgive me if I missed it in your thread!

Thanks!

This is an awesome build and ultimately the same concept I want to go with my T4R Pro being a daily driver.

Do you have any sort of tune on yours to help with the gas mileage issue?

Awesome build! Can’t wait to see what you do to it next.....hmmmm... can you do anything more? Love the pics. The 35’s look so right....and I’m sure the 488 helped a ton also.

Very nice. I just picked up a 2015 Limited and have the hankering to do some basic mods like a front bumper/grill guard and lights - If I show this thread to the little woman my Christmas will be spent in the dog house.
make sheer you get a good winch to ,for the front bumper with a battier that's around 1000 cc amps, so it will hold the draw of the winch and the extra gear that runs off it. the tires need to be a good on and off road tire ,so it can hand all terrains , and good grip. depending on your load you might carry , you need to t change up your shocks and springs down the road.

"I'm done... Except for that one thing... Possibly..."

I guess I've been asked a few times to do a build thread, so here's a build thread.

I'll put a little bit of context here into the purchase. January of 2013 I got laid off after almost 4 years at a design agency here in Portland. First time I've ever been laid off in my life. And as such, as a young guy, only 30 at the time I began to panic. How would I make ends meet, would I need to sell my dog for burrito money, is my sperm and plasma enough for an XBOX ONE?! Anyways all real legit stress aside, I entered into freelance, and have actually been more financially stable, made more annually working for myself, and generally get to enjoy my free time a lot more now.

I never invested much in my vehicles, I had an 86 BMW 325i, an 1978 FJ40, and until recently a functional if not absolutely boring 2001 VW Golf 2-Door. So I finally took a pregnant pause, and decided, "hey Me, you've survived 2+ years of professional uncertainty, treat yo self!" "hey, thanks, Me, I will!"

Anyways, so I started looking around and fell in love the the 4Runner. But specifically the TRD Pro in the Inferno. It was THE configuration that to me made me go from a six to a twelve. I've had a Toyota in the past, my family owns a Prius (it gets good gas mileage, and my mother is a saint, don't make me look like the bad guy here!), so it was a natural choice.
