2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo

I almost got my hands on some of those wheels for CHEAP. I was concerned about rub and passed on them
Well with a 3" lift I can confirm they won't rub in normal driving. Been cruising around yesterday and this morning and nothing yet. But all flexed out I won't be surprised if I get rub at some point. If you like them you should! They should be plentiful and you might score some Rubicons with those great BFG M/Ts on them. That's my next goal.

Got some black covers for the JK wheels. No real purpose but I love the look! And with bigger tires I'm really sold on this lift. Drives great and I'm used to the steering now. Now if I could just find a place to flex out and disconnect my Sway Bar! That's the rough part about living in the city is lack of offroad places to drive...

I finally got to flex it out with the lift on! I was in a hurry though and didn't experiment with my Sway Bar discos. The front hasn't rubbed with the 32's but you can see how the back tire stuffs right up there. Maybe I should research trimming... One interesting thing is the IRO Doestech shocks seem really noisy.... Or maybe the new springs against the new isolators. Everything is really squawky and noisy when it's flexing and going over rough stuff.

could also be the old bushings and such creaking under the extra stress
You know that makes sense. I thought for sure it's the shocks but now I'm not as sure. After driving on this lift about a thousand miles or so, I'm sold on getting a bigger rear sway bar. This thing is really goosey in the wind and maybe some of those bushings are worn out.

Did your suspension squeak before you replaced the shocks? The polyurethane mounts on the shocks could be the culprit. You could always replace the poly mounts with OE shock mounts and see if the noise goes away. Just an idea.

I like the idea. And no it was fairly quiet before. It's also noisier in the cold and get a little quieter after I drive a bit.

Addco? I know they make a beefier one. it's a shame too many bushings aren't grease-able. Worn and dried out a lot on these older vehicles

Might go back and check to make sure everything is still tq'd down properly. I usually check it after a bit of driving after the install and then once more. things settle, wear and such causing issues.

The shop I had do the lift paint marked everything and I've been keeping an eye on that. The ones I've checked don't look like they've moved but I need to look closer. And yes Addco. The only greasable thing I know of is my JKS Quicker Disconnects and I'm sure they're past due. If I can upgrade to greasable bushings I sure will. But I haven't read about them much yet so I don't know what's available.
