Up for sale is this expedition ready, 1993 Ford E-350 4x4 Ambulance conversion. This vehicle has everything needed for your next adventure. Totally prepped and ready to go anywhere. It is big enough to live in with the comforts of a motorhome, yet still small and very maneuverable. And, it fits in a standard parking spot!

The original ambulance (Type 3 Mini-Mod Moduvan built by Wheeled Coach) was built on the rock-solid E350 cutaway chassis and meets strict U.S. Federal Ambulance Collision Safety Standards. The rear box has a welded 2"x2" aluminium frame with 1/8 aluminum skin and sturdy, walk-on roof. It is substantial, strong, and will keep you safe! The drive train consists of Ford's super-reliable 7.3L IDI diesel engine, connected to an E40D automatic transmission, a Borg Warner transfer case. It has a Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear, both with limited slip differentials. Dual wheel rear-end converted to single wheels. The engine was replaced in 1998 by the ambulance company. The new engine currently has approx. 176k miles on it-the odometer reads 246,084. These diesel engines are known to be good for 500,000 miles or more! It has been averaging 12-15 mpg. It has been meticulously maintained and runs excellent. The interior and all of the systems were constructed to handle extreme conditions and rugged travels. Nothing was overlooked during the build of this overland vehicle. All cabinets were professionally built in-place using premium grade, laminated, solid Birch plywood, glued and screwed nothing falls apart or rattles loose! Everything works.

The following maintenance items were completed within the last 3 years: Rebuilt entire front suspension & steering components, new shock absorbers, new steering gear box, new fuel injectors & glow plugs( have spares), new U-joints, balanced all drivelines, new rear brake drums and shoes(have spares) new front brake pads(have spares),new maintenance, new vacuum pump(have spare),new serpentine belt(have spare)new belt tensioner pulley, new AC compressor, new starter, completely rebuilt radiator, new tires this year(plenty of tread left), new steering shaft shifter tube(have spare), new power steering pump, new windshield, Transmission was flushed and new filter installed. Both differentials were inspected and oil replaced. Entire cooling system flushed and new alternator added. New fuel filter(have spare)New propane regulator. Oil and filter have been changed every 5k miles since I have owned it(haver spare filters).

This ambulance is a Mini-Mod design, which means the box is narrow and has a low profile, It is only a few inches wider than a stock e-350 van, and the low roof height has allowed us to get into some pretty awesome camping spots that had low trees, etc. that we would not have been able to get into otherwise. With that being said, the ceiling at the interior step is 6'0". This is where I stand if I really need to do something inside that requires full standing, which over the last few years honestly wasn't very often. The rest of the ceiling varies from 5'3" to 5'0" depending on the contour of the original ambulance ceiling. Most everything we do in the camper, we do sitting down. The majority of the time we are at camp, we are outdoors, and it wasn't much of an issue for us at all. We love to BBQ and eat outside, and just hang out under the awning or the stars enjoying the great outdoors. It worked very well for us. Installing a popup top or raising the roof on this vehicle would also be an option if someone wanted to add more headroom and even a second bed.

The Bad (there's always something):
Speedometer jitters a bit between 50-65 mph (works fine otherwise)
Awning fabric is leak-free, but has two small repaired spots
Ding in rear bumper
A few scratches and bush pin striping on exterior
