The cover for the auxiliary battery and wiring is done and fits decent.



Cleaning up lower and upper intake manifold.



Then it was time for some port matching. Opened up with 120 and 240 grit cone sanding bits on a die grinder.



A little material removed.



Then it was time for some paint.





I sanded off the paint and polished the lettering.



Next the lower was installed. And the larger injectors.



Front brackets all painted.

Some engine wiring fun. I have a lot of systems to combine and verify wiring.



Removed a few..














Cleaning up the hvac box under the hood.


Cleaned and painted with trim black.

Radiator and fan in.


Trans cooler and power steering cooler in process.



Door internals in. And door panels on.

Then time for exhaust. 2 1/2" into 3" high flow cat and out. All mandrel bent.







Lots of cutting and fitting later and it was welding time.







I put v band clamps strategically to make removal easier.

With the addition of rear disk brakes, I found a factory master cylinder that was setup for 4-wheel disc and bolted right up. Even the lines fit.



I had 2 Steering columns both with different things wrong with them. I Took them apart and combined them into one working one.



I should have taken more picures on how to tare these apart and reassemble them.



Then I worked on putting the core support back on and started putting things back on it.



Radiator and electric cooling fan all fitting nicely.



Transmission and power steering coolers installed and plumbed.



Fenders back on too.



Glass is all in. It's getting there.

Fantastic work mate. Love bringing these old rusted rigs back to life. Done it with a few old land cruisers and it's the small things that makes you happy. First engine start. First drive. First long drive. Again, kudos mate!
