Coachella Valley Overland Bound Berdoo Canyon Rd, Joshua Tree, Pioneertown Trail Run - 01/06/2018

I think it’s time for me to get something a bit newer. I’m considering a 2001 4Runner. That 3.0 is killing me!

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Didn't do this today but a much needed up grade! Lifted the back end a couple inches. I couldn't do the 5100s without a 4" lift but the extra $700 is needed under the hood Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

New shocks and rear springs. Couldn't get the 5100s without a lift. Not ready for that yet. Settled for the 4600s. Still a great product! Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Spark plug wires and distributor cap. Funny how when you know your vehicle, you can feel the slightest difference. "BE ONE WITH YOUR RIG" Andy's IPhone

I'll keep checking it then. Thanks for the advice! Ya I can't afford a big repair bill right now. But it has 200k miles already so I should start saving... Andy's IPhone

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

It doesn't overheat at all. In fact the thermostat was a fail safe so it stayed open and ran too cool. I ran a coolant flush and followed the instructions to a T. It's my daily driver so I'll notice if something starts to go south [emoji1417] Andy's IPhone

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

It took 5 flushes to get that thing clean... I have a feeling I'm going to have to flush it again before summer Andy's IPhone

    Kids and Overlanding

I have a 6 year old boy and a 16 year old girl. My wife and daughter don't enjoy the outdoors as much as us boys do so they hang back often. But my son is a trooper in the car. His iPad helps a lot on LONG trips Andy's IPhone

    Newbie from Riverside Ca (SoCal)

I joined the forum a few weeks ago and have even participated in some of the posts already but I thought I should introduce myself. I've been camping since I was 17 but it's all based around riding quads. I've got a few Baja trips under my belt and most state parks in California. BUT 4 wheeling...

    Variable or constant rate springs?

I guess when I say overlanding, I mean going off road with some decent week on the vehicle. Again my vehicle is my daily driver on the road comfort is important to me but I don't want to sacrifice the off-road ride. I don't plan to lift it anytime soon, I have 31 inch tires and those suit me...

    Variable or constant rate springs?

Hello everyone. I would like opinions on variable rate vs constant rate. I have a 93 4Runner with a saggy butt and it is my daily driver. I'm a handyman so every once in a while I'll have a couple hundred pounds of material in the back, or occasionally pull a trailer. BUT for overlanding (which...
