Correction- the topo maps and road maps are perfectly clear at 100% zoom on the overlander - only the aerial maps are fuzzy at full zoom - but those are 3rd party maps- All maps from Garmin are perfect at full zoom and out.

HF sounds like a great addition and there is a lot of info on it, (which I have never tried any of,) on you tube and it definitely looks very interesting - longer range for sure. I do lose my location on aprs when I am out of the repeater range...

through wifi you can do google map shots of the trails - sometimes the trails are not on the maps but they are in the imaging. super fast and easy.
