If this is truly swamp then google maps may be the misleading one.
Just wanted to give you an idea of how each mapping software displays the same general area. Basic idea is that only Google maps shows a large body of water.
Thought the comparison might be useful if you've not seen all 3...
I've been thinking about your dilemma about the camp site by the lake. Care to share what the location was and camp site name? I'm interested to see how for this example iOverlander compares data to what GAIA and OnX have. I haven't had issues with iOverlander but now am thinking about how...
I simply use it to find potential sites and then copy the GPS coordinates into GAIA or OnX. If I like the location I'm going to need to put it into one of those apps anyway. I don't find the map to be an issue for my purposes.
I ran a test one night with my 100Ah battery. It started at 89% at 10p and was at 85% at 7a. Temp outside started at 42 and got down to 37. 4% battery amount to ~4Ah. At 12.8v that's 51w. My heater is an Hcalory SS2.
You can use Zoleo to send texts to people you know. Your texts will provide your exact location and they can help coordinate service. Check with your contacts in advance to make sure they're willing to help and aren't secretly hoping to never see you again, LOL.
We did Shafer Trail and started White Rim on day 1 and got to Airport camp site early afternoon. 2nd day we drove to Candlestick camp site and again arrived early afternoon. 3rd day we drove out and and did Gemini Bridges by lunch time. Mostly picture taking and no hiking. Several stops...
General Grabber X3's for me and still going at 60K. This tire is run by Expedition Overland which travels the world and by Epic Family Road Trip as well.
I have no complaints.
I pack heavy. I have that may need/what if mentality. I'd kick myself endlessly if I left something behind that I could have brought and needed it. If in a group it's a little less an issue.

I just had a problem this week with my 12v plug in my Wrangler. Couldn't get it to make good contact and voltage was too low. Fridge was on but not cooling.
In my Gladiator I remove the end of the Dometic cigarette plug and it exposes a two prong plug. I purchased the male half of that...
Thanks for the time estimate. My notes show 2 hrs and it's the last road of the day so may skip if it gets too late.
Is there any reason to skip it if it gets dark? Didn't look too difficult.
Wondering if anyone will be in the area while we're out there.
