Ha! The Underlanders. Yeah we just like to go out, have fun and not really worry about what the latest trends are. Just eat, sleep and drink well and we are all happy.
I actually haven't had a chance to use it since I haven't had my truck. Just threw it on to test fitment of the rack before I shipped the truck off again.
That said, my friend has one and the quality was just as good as my other friends Tepui. That is what swayed me to get the FSR tent. It did...
That's exactly it. They put foam over the stock fenders then shaped them to match the body lines but allow for more clearance. They then make a mold once they are satisfied and then use the mold to make an entire new fender!
Finally some updated.
Suspension is 90% installed. Need to add the Bypass tower and install the bypasses. Bed rack has been fabricated. RTT is a Freespirit Recreation. New fenders and bedsides getting built right now. Can't wait to get it back and be able to take it back out on the trails...
I don't think they have made the changes yet to any versions they are selling. I'm sure they can wait until their current stock is depleted or their supplier contracts end. That's when you'll see the new models or designs.
Yes there will be a bit of lift but to increase travel you must go wider as well. This kit will be finished in 5 weeks. It's 2.5 inches on each side wider than stock.
I am in Tustin Ranch which is down the street from Holy Jim. What part of the trail are you doing? Just to the hiking spot? or going to do an offshoot up the truck trail?
This is Ellie, the adventure pug! She's good to go out with. Surprisingly alert and tough little girl. She likes to stand her ground but at 15lbs she wouldn't put up much of a fight.
Edit: They are called limb RISERS. Not savers.
I can't remember the exact technical term for them, something like limb savers. I believe they are used to guide branches out of the way from getting hung up on the windshield.
