The possibilities are endless for customizing your Taco. I’m a big fan of DIY. The only real short comings I have found with my ‘13 Tacoma is stopping and MPG’s. I resolved the stopping part but there is no good fix for the added weight and big tires.
Stick with bolts or rivets if you don’t have a welder. The lightest and strongest would be a combination of epoxy and rivets. If bolting loctite is your friend. Just like anything on your 4x you’ll want to check connections on the regular.
I’m not a fan of arb, I’ve had to many problems with their stuff. Dobinsons and Ironman make stuff for 80 series. As for lockers I’m a big fan of simple uncomplicated. A drop in auto locker in the rear and more suspension flex will get you very far.
