So just an after trip observation, Dirt at North Rim at 8k is very similar to Tahoe and when its wet easily passable. But once you come down to 5-6k everything changes. For example the road to Toroweap has a lot more clay and it a totally different challenge during or after the rain.

Just spoke with a ranger they had some rain, will monitor I assume its classic Arizona clay there when wet:)
