Recommendation on ground camping mattress or air mattress

Exped Megamat is very nice as others have stated. Another very comfortable option that is a bit less bulky is the Sea to Summit Etherlite XT. I recommend getting the 25 inch wide extreme version if you decide to go that route.

    Vermont OB Member Meetups??

I live in western NH just over the river from Ascutney. I would be game to meet up in VT to do a trip. I was planning on going over in that direction this summer already. Thanks!

Ideas needed for few days trip (NJ, PA, NY, VT or NH) this summer

The NH backcountry discovery route should be right up your ally. A lot of it is paved and it’s nothing hard core. You can go around anything that you don’t feel comfortable with. There’s campgrounds scattered throughout the White Mountains but you might want to make a reservation in peak season...

Budget Rigs for 10K and under?

I just bought a 1999 TRD off road with locking rear diff extended cab Tacoma in January for $4800. I’ve put about $2800 into it in repairs. It came with a Leer high rise shell and I just finished building out back of it. Even with the buildout and buying tools to do it I’m well under 10K.

    Truck camper build progress

Making progress on my 1999 Toyota Tacoma Truck Shell camper build. This is my first time building anything. I’m a complete novice at this so I’m pretty pleased with the progress.

Building Bed for my 1999 Tacoma

First time I have ever used a circular saw or attempted to build anything period. Still need to screw it together, I’ll be using pocket holes, add hinges and build a drawer but it’s coming!

    Clothing Storage

I just looked on Amazon and I don’t see it but I did find it at REI it’s called the Sea to Summit Scrubba bag. It’s a bit pricey at $49 but it might be worth the investment. It’s a one time purchase.

    Clothing Storage

Packing cubes color coded with similar items in each cube. As others have already said bringing less is the best. You could try to use that sea to summit wash bag to do hand laundry. I own one but haven’t used it yet but I from what I have gathered it uses minimal water and does a pretty good...

    NH Meetup

Great I would love to meet up. I’m coming from Newport. Keep me posted on the details. I looked under the calendar section but I haven’t seen it posted there yet. Are you going to post the details there or should we watch for it in the thread?

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I just bought bolt on rock sliders today for my 1999 Tacoma. I’ve been spending a lot of money lately trying to get it mechanically sound. Just bought it on January but it has spent more time at the mechanic than in my driveway. I’ll be buying wood for a camper build out in my Leer 122 shell...

Has anyone run the NEBDR between Woodsville & Campton, NH??

It’s a motorcycle trail in VT that runs the length of the state. I happened upon it by accident. You can google it to get the details. You can also do it with a vehicle I believe too. At least I hope you can because I don’t own a motorcycle.
