What a weekend! It was filled with crazy wind, sandstorms, and cold temps. We cut it short and beat the weather home, glad we did, all routes were closed Sunday morning and it would have been a horrible time trying to get home. I’ll be post a post trip blog entry Friday, till then teasers on IG.
I'm planning a trip to Northern Montana from Arizona. Our destination is Flathead Lake but I'm looking for must-take trails, camping spots, and places to see. I'm under a ten day time limit for the trip. i'll be in my Ram 1500 and will have another Ram 2500 following. Neither is modified so I'm...
My full size everyday, adventure truck. No frills, and very basic... think Overlanding meets backpacking. Always prepared for a road trip, for what she lacks in off-road ability she more than makes up for long-distance comfort, reliability, and believe it or not gas economy! I've made about a...
Update on the grill. I have a regulator on the way and will give it a try after it gets here. I found out it came from Harbor Freight, and they retailed for around $99 There are a few for sale on eBay for $200-275 and I found one on OfferUp for $40. I paid $10 so either way it seems like I found...
We carry two butane stoves, have for several years. Never had a problem, camped from Death Valley to Colorado and the temperatures that you find there. Both stoves I bought at Big5 think they cost $19 each and the fuel canister stores inside the stove.
I don’t mind the powder eggs, I’ve used pre cracked eggs, I’ve also not kept them in a cooler, coating an egg with olive oil you can keep it unrefrigerated in a carton placed high and safe in a tote.
I found this gem at a yard sale, I’ve never seen one before, I don’t even know if it works, but I love the concept. Breakfast king, eggs, bacon biscuits and gravy!
I’m thinking to be useful it’s going to need a wind/heat shield added to the back. Question for the group anyone seen one before...
Making plans for some winter adventures in the desert. Mojave road, Joshua Tree, may even drive out to Parker. But first looking for an area in Lime Canyon Nv I was told about.
18 hrs of driving later, we are back in Arizona! (Actually we were back yesterday) all moved in and getting back into the groove of life. Glad to be back home. Oklahoma was a fun adventure, but I missed mountains and hate humidity!
Well, our Oklahoma adventure has come to an abrupt end! After 20 months living in tornado alley, we’re selling everything we own and moving back to Arizona! We’ll regroup and plan our next adventure, we’re looking at Salt Lake area to plant some roots! See you all on the west coast!
