    almost undefeatable fire stater

I'm aware of this and should have stated such, thank you for your warning. This method should only be employed in a survival situation and never for general camping. Good call out sir.

    almost undefeatable fire stater

Plastic gallon milk jugs. cut it into strips, lit one, lay it across your pile then lay more on, as they burn they'll melt and drip into the pile spreading the fire nicely

What does a short in the electrical system do

I would suggest if these problems showed up after the engine swap would be to check all the electrical plugs under the hood. When i say check I mean unplug them (one at a time, so things don't get crossed up) and look at the pins in the plug, if any got bent during the install and is touching...

what PSI do you run on trails?

On my JKU with 35's non-beadlock wheels, 18psi when we hit the dirt with no problems makes for a more enjoyable ride. I also suggest that you footprint your tires for on highway pressure with a normal load for you. Find a area that straight and flat, air up to about 50 psi and and using sidewalk...

    Arizona Overlanders

Sounds like a good plan, we would only be able to sneak out there for a day trip due to my rotating schedule. But why not, I firmly believe that "sleep is for rich people" the bewildered look and bags under my will attest to the fact that I am not rich by any measure. Even if I was the Jeep...

    Arizona Overlanders

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely be looking into the Turtleback. I'm sure I'll bump into you on a trail one of these days. I'm looking to make a couple of four day runs on the AZ peace trail this winter/ fall and would love to be dragging a setup like yours. And again, that is a badass setup...

Really interested in your tent setup, what brand, is it on risers or does it stay at transport height. If not what's the lift mechanism

Cast Iron or No? (weight right now is not an issue for me)

Cast iron, there is no substitute! Leave the charcoal at home, get a good bed of coal's rolling and you'll be set.

Distance between home and the start of a trail

It's been 30 years since I've lived in your area, but when isn't there traffic in Laguna Beach?

Maryland to Colorado to New Mexico to Arizona

You can't go wrong in Sedona, amazing places to camp, hundreds of trails all with spectacular views. We were out there a couple of months ago and Schnebly Hill was a little rough. Right now we are getting a lot of rain (3-5" in an hour type storms) so some trails/locations may be a little...
